Crucial Area
So often we who are supposed to be encouragers of the
brethren and proclaimers of truth allow our mouths to become tools of destruction in the hands of the devil. Many deep hurts in the lives of those I've counseled can be traced
back to comments made to or about them. They carry wounds as real as physical ones, caused by spoken words.
Words are amazing tools that can bring life or death.
Words of the mouth combined with heart attitudes bring
''spiritual power. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruit"(proverbs 18:21).
David prayed, "set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over
the door of my lips"(psalm 14:3). David's prayer needs to be our prayer.
"Spreading negative reports, as the ten spies did in
Numbers chapter 13,makes God angry because it hinders what
he would have His people do. James 3:10 says,
"From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing." We can actually release
supernatural blessing from our mouths, or we can aid the enemy's
attack on people, Our mouths can also tear down what God is trying
to build among us. If we can consistently watch over our minds, hearts,
and mouths,we will deny the devil access to our lives and truly
experience victory. subverting the authority of the enemy,
we will looses the blessing of God in our lives.

A GOOD YEAR
Today is a wonderful time to take stock and reflect on the year gone by, the failure and triumphs we achieved, the time we shared with family and friends, the good choices we made in our home and in our business. But in order to grow and develop both spiritual and, personal , we have to look back and acknowledge the things that did not go so well.
There is nothing wrong with setbacks, in fact, I believe that if we don't have obstacles to overcome along the way we won't learn and grow. Thomas Watson, the founder of IBM, once said, "If you want to increase your rate of success, you better be prepared to increase your rate of failure."
We all have hopes and dreams for the future. Today I believe, the slate is wiped clean for all of us as we start afresh. Lets take a few moments to think about our dreams and goals. In the areas you want to grow? What is truly important to us? What challenges we want to take on? Most of us don't realize what we can accomplish when we unleash the hidden talents that we possess inside.
To help us make this year the best ever, lets take a few moments to ponder on these suggestions:
1. Challenge yourself
Have a clear vision and focus of what you want to achieve and set a time frame. Challenge yourself to be the best you can be at all times. Visualize what you want to accomplish. See it in your mind. Write then down , have a plan of action, and never doubt you will be successful. I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I set your rules before me. Ps.119:30
2. Find the love factor
Surround yourself with loving, supportive people. Stay away from the dream stealers, the people who would bring you down. My soul is consumed with longing for your rules at all times.Ps. 119;20
3. Dedicate quality time
Life is so precious; make the most of each and every day. Rise early, spend some quality time with those you care about. Value not only the time you spend with your loved ones, but also the time you spend with the Lord. I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.Ps.119;15
4. Stretch your comfort zone
Do at least one thing a day, which makes you feel uncomfortable. Push yourself; you will be amazed how far you can go. Remember: on the other side of fear is freedom. To remain stagnant is not to grow. To reach your full potential, you must rise above the fray and soar like an eagle. The path of life leads upward for the prudent, Prv. 15;24
5. Be passionate
show passion in everything you do. Let it show in your body language, in your smile, in your voice. Let your eyes shine . Let the world see and hear your enthusiasm and passion. For a glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed. Prv. 15:13
6. Serve others
Be a role model and mentor to others . Volunteer in your community and help others achieve their goals. Your world will be enriched and a better place for sharing your talents and giving freely of your time. Leave a lasting legacy. The righteous who walk in his integrity- blessed are his children after him! Prv. 20:7
7. Don't sweat the small stuff
Let go of the little things you can't control. Recognize that perfection isn't always the only option. Don't let life's imperfections bother you. learn from them. Apply your heart to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge. Prv. 23:12
8.Live with integrity always be true to yourself , and take joy in whatever you do. Take joy of who you are and what you represent. Accept others with all their flaws. Show compassion and goodwill to your fellow human beings. Be dignified. Lead a life of purpose. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. Prv. 2:7
9. Show gratitude
Show gratitude and say thank-you to the people who have helped you along the way. Send a handwritten letter to someone who has touched you. Call up a friend or loved one and tell them how much they mean to you. Show people you appreciate and care about them. Acts of kindness cost nothing but mean everything. Know well he condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds, for riches do not last forever; Prv. 27:23
10. attitude in the Lord ,walk in the light
I cannot express enough the importance of having a positive attitude in the Lord and believing in His power . Yes, you can be well intentioned, you can be determined, or you can be preponderant but without the Lord , you will not succeed and your life will be devoid. Your dreams will die, goals will fade, gloom and darkness will replace the light in your heart. So walk in the love of God, and let your light shine. walk as child of the light ( for the fruit of the light is found in that is good and right and true. Eph 5:8 AMEN.
